I take full responsibility for my actions
I take full responsibility for the consequences thereof
For the things within my grasp and that which I perceive, I lock within my visual field and while I race in the haze, my legs give way and my heart starts pounding in sync with the African talking drum. Then, I’m reminded that the tears from winning, warm my cheeks better than the chilling drops of quitting.

Yet, each day, I’m reminded of the numerous theories of things that may predict the brightness of my day.
I’m reminded that like a door needs a custom key, so do I need to be chiseled and refined for the right space.
To expect, therefore, that each pathway may swiftly broaden and the stairway may be laid bare with a gold blueprint, would be tantamount to simply growing up. This is not to imply that a youngster is devoid of awakening moments, but to illustrate the transition between ignorance and awareness of any ‘subject’. What determines a smooth transition may in part be influenced by what is EXPECTED.
While my legs give way and my heart pounds louder on this journey, I’d like to spend each day rewarded from expecting less, and invariably hitting my low excitation threshold.
